Cookie
Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Trade Moto ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit or interact with the Chris Birch Coaching platform at trade-moto.com (the "Platform"). It describes what these technologies are, why we use them, and what rights you have to control their use.
This Cookie Policy forms part of our Privacy Policy. Terms not defined here carry the meanings given in the Privacy Policy.
By continuing to use our Platform after being presented with our cookie consent interface, you agree to our use of cookies as described in this Policy. You may withdraw or adjust your consent at any time via the cookie preference controls described in Section 5.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) by a website when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to the website owner about how users interact with the site.
In addition to cookies, we may use other tracking technologies with similar functionality, including:
- Web beacons / pixel tags — Transparent image files embedded in emails or web pages that record whether a page or email has been opened and when
- Local storage & session storage — Browser-based storage mechanisms used to persist authentication tokens and user interface preferences across page loads
- JavaScript tags — Code snippets loaded from third-party analytics and advertising platforms that collect behavioral and performance data
- Fingerprinting signals — Non-persistent device attribute data (browser version, screen resolution, timezone) used for fraud detection only — not for tracking
1.1 First-Party vs. Third-Party Cookies
First-party cookies are set directly by Trade Moto and are only readable by us. Third-party cookies are set by external service providers whose code runs on our Platform (for example, analytics or payment services). These providers may be able to track your activity across multiple websites.
1.2 Session vs. Persistent Cookies
Session cookies are temporary and are automatically deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or you delete them manually. The retention period for each cookie we use is listed in the tables in Section 3.
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
We classify the cookies on our Platform into four categories based on their purpose. Only Essential cookies are active by default; all other categories require your explicit consent.
2.1 Essential Cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary for the Platform to function. They enable core features such as user authentication, session management, security enforcement, and payment processing. You cannot opt out of essential cookies without breaking Platform functionality.
2.2 Analytics Cookies
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the Platform — which pages are most popular, where users drop off in a purchase flow, and how overall traffic is trending. This information is aggregated and does not directly identify you. We use this data solely to improve the Platform experience.
2.3 Functional Cookies
Functional cookies remember choices you make (such as your language preference, display theme, or last-visited program) and provide enhanced, personalized features. Disabling these cookies means that some preferences will not be saved between visits.
2.4 Marketing Cookies
Marketing cookies track your activity to deliver relevant advertisements and measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. These may be set by our advertising partners and allow them to build a profile of your interests based on your browsing across multiple sites. We only activate these with your explicit consent.
3. Specific Cookies in Use
The tables below list the specific cookies currently active on the Platform. We review and update this list whenever cookies are added or removed.
3.1 Essential Cookies
3.2 Analytics Cookies
3.3 Functional Cookies
3.4 Marketing Cookies
4. Third-Party Services and Their Policies
Some cookies on our Platform are operated by third parties over whom we have no direct control. We list the relevant third-party privacy and cookie policies below for your reference:
- Google Analytics & Google Ads — policies.google.com/privacy
- Stripe — stripe.com/privacy
- Shopify — shopify.com/legal/privacy
- Vimeo — vimeo.com/privacy
- Meta (Facebook / Instagram) — facebook.com/policy.php
- TikTok — tiktok.com/legal/privacy-policy
We recommend reviewing those policies to understand how these providers use data collected through our Platform. Where required by law, we have entered into Data Processing Agreements with each of these providers.
5. Managing and Controlling Cookies
You have several options for controlling how cookies are placed on your device. Note that restricting cookies may affect the functionality of certain Platform features.
5.1 Cookie Consent Interface
When you first visit the Platform, a cookie consent banner will appear allowing you to accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or customize your preferences by category. You can change your selections at any time by clicking the "Cookie Preferences" link located in the footer of every page.
5.2 Browser-Level Controls
Most browsers allow you to view, manage, block, and delete cookies through their built-in settings. Below are quick-access paths for the most common browsers:
5.3 Opt-Out Links for Specific Providers
For analytics and advertising cookies, you may use the following dedicated opt-out mechanisms in addition to our consent interface:
- Google Analytics Opt-Out: Install the Google Analytics browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
- Google Ads Personalization: Manage at adssettings.google.com
- Meta Ad Preferences: Manage at facebook.com/ads/preferences
- TikTok Ad Settings: Manage in the TikTok app under Settings → Privacy → Ads
- Industry Opt-Out (US): Use the DAA opt-out tool at optout.aboutads.info
- Industry Opt-Out (EU): Use the EDAA opt-out tool at youronlinechoices.eu
5.4 Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal that instructs websites not to track your activity. Currently, there is no universally accepted standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. Our Platform does not alter its data collection behavior in response to DNT signals, but you can use the controls described above to achieve equivalent results.
6. Cookies and Sensitive Information
We do not use cookies to collect or store sensitive personal data such as financial account numbers, government identification numbers, or health-related information. Payment data entered on the Platform is handled exclusively by Stripe's PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure and is never stored in Platform cookies.
7. Cookies on Mobile Applications
If we offer a dedicated mobile application in the future, it may use mobile device identifiers (such as Apple IDFA or Google Advertising ID) instead of, or in addition to, browser cookies. Those identifiers serve functionally similar purposes to cookies and are subject to the same consent and opt-out principles described in this Policy. You may reset or limit these identifiers through your device's privacy settings.
8. Your Rights Regarding Cookie Data
Cookie data that can identify you constitutes personal data under applicable privacy laws. Accordingly, the rights described in Section 8 of our Privacy Policy — including access, correction, deletion, portability, and objection — apply equally to data collected through cookies. To exercise these rights, contact us at the details provided below.
For EEA users: refusing analytics and marketing cookies does not affect your right to access our Platform or purchase our services. Essential cookies cannot be refused as they are required for the Platform to operate, but they do not form the basis for any marketing profiling or data-sharing with third parties for their own purposes.
9. Updates to This Cookie Policy
We review and update this Cookie Policy regularly — at minimum once every twelve months — and whenever new cookies are added or existing cookies are materially changed. When we make significant updates, we will reset our cookie consent banner so you have the opportunity to review and re-confirm your preferences. The "Last Revised" date at the top of this page reflects when the most recent changes were made.
We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed about how we use cookies and how you can control them.
Cookie Policy Inquiries
If you have questions about this Cookie Policy, wish to report a concern, or want to exercise a data right related to cookie-collected information, please reach out through any of the channels below. We aim to respond to all inquiries within 5 business days.
